Rafa Afifa Maharani

I used to think communication was simply about speaking clearly. But after working in public relations and joining international programs, I realized communication is more about making people feel understood, especially in unfamiliar environments. What makes me unique is my ability to feel comfortable in both creative and structured roles. I enjoy developing content, hosting events, and engaging with people, but I’m also the kind of person who genuinely enjoys organizing documents, coordinating operations, and handling detailed administrative work behind the scenes. Surprisingly, I never see those roles as opposites. My experiences in Malaysia, China, and multicultural academic environments taught me that adapting to different people is not about changing yourself, but about learning how to connect with others while staying grounded. I believe that balance of creativity, organization, and cultural awareness is what allows me to contribute meaningfully in diverse communities.
