Janice Madeleine

I’m Janice, an incoming IUP Management student at Universitas Indonesia with strong interests in leadership, communication, and community-building. People would probably describe me as committed, reflective, and always willing to explore unfamiliar opportunities.

One experience that shaped me the most was serving as Vice President of Student Council. At the time, my leadership partner and I were both female and religious minorities in a public school environment. We initially doubted whether we would be taken seriously, but eventually earned trust and proved that capability matters more than background.

That experience taught me resilience and made me realize that impact often starts with people willing to challenge expectations. Since then, I’ve become more interested in leadership spaces, social issues, and initiatives that encourage meaningful growth.
